Strategic Independent Agents Alliance (SIAA) is an international alliance dedicated to helping smaller independent property/casualty agencies grow while increasing their income and value. Additionally, SIAA provides a proven solution for direct writers, captive agents and producers to establish independent agencies from scratch. SIAA also provides a means for life/health agencies and financial service agencies to account round residual property/casualty products to their existing agency clients thereby increasing profitabilty.

Win-win-win.

SIAA's unique model is truly a "win-win-win" scenario. It all starts with the implementation of SIAA's proven structure, whereby an existing larger regional "Master Agency" leverages local expertise and proven success to help smaller local independent agencies grow and increase their income. This approach allows for significant, profitable premium growth to its participating insurance company partners. Thus the end results is a local alliance of independent agents working together with insurance company partners to achieve a common goal.

Background

The roots of SIAA date back to 1983 when founder Jim Masiello began to develop the Satellite Agency Network of New England (known today as SAN Group) in response to changes in the Independent Agency system. At the time, many local agencies were finding that it was impossible to meet volume requirements, keep markets and survive. SAN allowed the local independent agent to remain independent, keep existing markets while gaining new ones, generate additional income and receive profit sharing without having to sell, merge or cluster.

In 1994, after the uncompromised success of San Group throughout New England, Masiello realized that this concept could easily be replicated all throughout the nation. However, the key ingredient for the success of this alternative, national distribution system would be to establish close relationships with other large, profitable agencies who understood the industry and it's relevance for all different areas of the country. Enter the Strategic Independent Agents Alliance. (SIAA)

Today, SIAA is successfully growing in 48 of the United States, as well as Puerto Rico and Canada. With roughly 3,000 members and $5 billion in premium SIAA has more clout then ever, and continues to grow at an extraordinary rate. When fully developed it is expected that SIAA will represent nearly $30 billion in premium and upwards of 10,000 agents throughout North America.
